Better Handwriting Day 7: Home Stretch
See how they did
You did it!!
You and your child made it to the finish line… almost. Today’s final exercise is a chance to take all the skills we’ve practiced this week and put them together. Drawing, writing, spacing and coloring: invaluable ingredients to perfecting handwriting at any age.
Today’s Download: Story Paper
As they sit to draw a picture and write a few sentences, remind them what they’ve learned. They should not be speeding through this; they should be slow, careful and thoughtful… pay attention to spacing, patience and correct technique.
Now compare Day One to Day Seven.
Remember – Rome wasn’t built in a day and your child’s handwriting will continue to progress with every exercise and time spent developing.
Doing the 7 day activity – showed your child that handwriting matters.
That it’s something you care about – something they should want to make better.
Now rinse and repeat!
Take a few days off. But go back to the pages that helped the most and try them again! Mix it up or do it 7 days in a row again.
Celebrate and share. Can’t wait to see your success!
