Young Rembrandts Annual Conference
“Far and away the best prize that life offers is the chance to work hard at work worth doing.” -Theodore Roosevelt
I live in a bubble. A lovely bubble. And every once in awhile I am reminded just how lovely it is. My most recent reminder came last week at the Young Rembrandts Annual Conference, where I spent three days with the most joyful, determined, passionate group of individuals.
Young Rembrandts is a mission born out of my passion for children, sharing the arts and spending time with my family. Years later, my husband and I franchised our family business (yes, franchises are not just burger joints) and now over 90 professional men and women all over the US and Canada, operate as Young Rembrandts and share my passion for kids, art and spending time with family.
When we gather for our yearly conference, it’s all business, but stories about students and instructors seep into every conversation. They’re stories about art, about kids being profoundly changed by their participation, stories of how it blesses us to live and work doing something that matters so much.
We are on a mission! We’re on a mission to share the power of art, to impact children through their participation in the arts and to use the arts to affect success in the classroom. We’re on a mission to get art back in schools and to teach children the way they learn best.
We’re passionate, purposeful and determined.
I hope you’ll join us.
