You may have noticed that I have been talking a lot about the connection between ADD/ADHD and visual learners. I believe kids with an ADD diagnosis can benefit so much from the strategies we use with visual learners because most are visual, right brain thinkers struggling to focus their big picture thinking enough to get their work done at school. ADDitude magazine agrees with me and I got published in their spring edition! 

Visual learners need to physically doodle, create mind maps, take notes, and generally translate learning through their own creative lens. There are plenty of ways to implement visual learning for your child with ADHD outside the classroom. In my recently published article in ADDitude magazine, I give strategies for visual reinforcement that will help your child solidify what she’s learned in the classroom — and retain it.
