Step Up Your Coloring Game
Young Rembrandts is about to join the coloring craze with our own beautifully designed and drawn coloring pages. And after the first of the year we will have those pages and more, for sale on our website.
Our idea was that, adults everywhere are enjoying coloring, so why not kids. Especially our Young Rembrandts art kids. There’s not much out there for them in the way of quality coloring books. But wait until you see what we have for you. Kids and adults will want to color them all. But before they’re released, let’s talk art supplies. There are the obvious markers and color pencils, but let’s take it up a notch. To do great coloring, you and your kids deserve great supplies. I put together a list, some for the kids and some for you!
Great for Kids
Crayola markers are a great option for anyone. We’re used to buying 8 packs of classic colors for school but this is a box of 40!! Imagine all the great colors and they come with a lot of “juice” for hours of coloring fun. They’re also water-based, making clean-up easy. Your artist will be so excited!
This pack of Crayola Colored pencils contains 100 different colors!!What a great way to inspire children’s self-expression and imagination. With thick, soft points that won’t break easily, these pencils create brightly colored lines that are great for school projects and detailed artwork.
Faber-castell colored pencils are a step up from Crayola and great for kids and moms alike who love to color. They have a stronger lead and richer colors which give better results than Crayola for not too much more money.
Great for Taking Your Coloring Up a Notch
If you are looking to get a more artistic look to your coloring, Promarkers are great. These markers allow you to easily overlay and blend colors to create shade and tone. To add to the professional feel they have both a chisel tip for large areas and a fine bullet tip for details. Watch them in action on the Young Rembrandts gears coloring page.
Take your artwork to a new level with watercolor pens. Everyone can use them. You can apply watercolor like a marker but by angling and bending the flexible nylon tips you can achieve much more sophisticated results. They’re versatile, portable and ideal for all skill levels, and perfect for coloring books or Young Rembrandts coloring pages.
Prismacolor pencils are the absolute most wonderful color pencils ever. You are going to pay for the quality and it’s worth every penny. They come in both soft and hard lead sets. Soft cores are perfect for blending, shading and layering while the hard core are great for adding finer textures.
These water soluble pencils allow you to achieve the watercolor look with the precision and control of a pencil. Not to mention the ability to color just about anywhere that a set of watercolors just doesn’t have. They work both wet to open up a world of glassy surfaces and unique, shimmering textures and can be used dry to match the entire Prismacolor palette.
