Halloween is a great time for your visual learner’s creative side to shine. Building a costume is the perfect opportunity for them to showcase their out of the box thinking. With a few items from around the house and a couple more from the store, the possibilities are endless for what they can come up with.
I’m a huge fan of creative play, inside and outside the house. When you head to Disneyland – all the creating has been done for you. You walk around seeing what other people imagined. But when you give kids the time, place and encouragement for unstructured play, their brains have to do the work. They climb trees, build forts, imagine new worlds, and spend hours and hours discovering new parts of themselves.
Drawing is a great way to get creative juices flowing for your kiddos this summer. Not only is it good for boosting creativity, but it is a great way for them to document what happens throughout the summer.
