Audio books let kids kick back, enjoy the story and let their imaginations run free. Listening to books can make reading fun, especially for kids that may struggle with language or have trouble sitting still.
To stop brain drain, kids need to keep writing all through the summer. They need to practice their handwriting and creative writing skills. The key is to keep it fun and light.
Use the kids’ desire to be on their tablets to your advantage. Summer learners can benefit from time spent on apps. They can make the difference in your child’s reading, vocabulary development, math facts etc. Since, there are so many different options it can be hard to figure out which ones are the best.
