Keep Your Visual Kids’ Skills Sharp this Summer by Making a Plan
A summer schedule with room for free play and plenty of choices will keep kids learning, having fun, and allow for a smooth transition into the next school year, not to mention help prevent summer burnout for both you and the kids. Begin your morning with making beds, brushing teeth, getting dressed and eating breakfast. Then do 15- 20 minutes each of reading, writing and math. Afternoons are great for a variety of summer activities that will keep kids learning without realizing it! For example, swimming lessons, drawing classes, trips to the zoo or park, workshops at the local rec center or community college, etc.
