Track Your Bright Summer Progress
It takes as little as 15 minutes a day in each of the core subject areas, reading, drawing, writing and math, to maintain learning all summer long. And, to help you keep track of how well you are doing with that hour a day, I have created a weekly tracker.

Since reading is the most effective way for our kids to keep their brains active and learning all summer long, why not bite the bullet and make one of your out of the house excursions a visit to your local library.
For right brain kids, summer break is especially significant because many of them have spent the school year feeling stifled, misunderstood and not good enough. Summer is the perfect time to get them outside moving around and creating to fill their right brain needs.
How do you find appropriate books? Pick books that are ‘just right’ – whether it’s the seventh grade summer reading or books for your early reader, picking the right book really matters.
Summer vacation has begun, now what? I encourage you to take a break but don’t let the kids be idle for too long. Without a plan for maintaining their skills, kids can lose up to 2 1/2 months of knowledge while they are enjoying the sunshine and free time that summer is all about.
The laid back scheduling of summer can lead to some summer knowledge leaks. Lucky for you we’ve created a new eBook to keep brains active this summer.
