Art Enhances Academic Performance
Getting good grades is important for kids, parents and educators. Young Rembrandts programs increase a child’s academic performance by supplementing & improving on many of their core learning skills. Visual literacy is a major component of this – the ability to interpret, negotiate and make meaning from information presented visually or from a picture.







In the perpetual race to have it all, working moms are balancing (at least) two careers – your job at the office and your job at home. Naturally these circumstances force moms to prioritize and sometimes make sacrifices.
Drawing is a great way to get creative juices flowing for your kiddos this summer. Not only is it good for boosting creativity, but it is a great way for them to document what happens throughout the summer.
This summer we’re going to keep it simple. While you’re busy enjoying summer, we’re going to share fun, easy to do activities for your kids to keep them at the top of their brain game. They did so much at school this year, we want to keep them in tip top shape and ready to school in the fall. To make it easy for you – we’re going to focus on three areas; reading, writing and drawing.
Get ready for summer fun as your budding artist explores the great outdoors, explores the rich culture and tradition of beautiful New England and celebrates the diversity of our planet’s animal life with Young Rembrandts.
For children, drawing is a way of seeing things, thinking about their world or sharing how they feel. Tune into episode 16 of Living Life as a Visual Thinker as i give you a better understanding of the benefits of learning to draw for children.
Art, specifically drawing, is a form of controlled communication and can be especially beneficial to a child with an autism spectrum disorder. For children that have difficulty with receptive language or sharing themselves verbally, drawing provides them a unique outlet.
