Kids and Creativity: Did you know it’s – Keep Kids Creative Week?
Did you know the final week of September is National Keep Kids Creative Week?
Most people think being creative is about doing art, and while it is very much about art, creativity has applications far beyond the art classroom.
Creativity is a life skill. It’s a way of thinking, of seeing the world, of seeing possibilities in every situation. Thinking creatively is very natural in young children, but they can get educated out of their innate ability.
To keep the creativity flowing: get your kids in the kitchen, take a walk, play an instrument, take a drawing class, play dress up – whatever gets the hands and mind engaged in right brain, hands-on activity.
This week we are going to share some ideas on creative ways to learn and play – so stay tuned for some great activities and ideas for you and your kids.
