My brother recommended I might like this website.
He was totally right. This post truly made my day.
    Thanks!

    Hello Bette,
Read your book in two days. Was thoroughly engrossed at how you presented yourself and your learning stiles and temperament in general. All the while I kept saying that is me and that was me. You zeroed in on things that I have spent so many years trying to figure out. I am 58 and have been on Stratera for maybe 6 years. Does it help? At first I thought it did but I try to structure my days and routines by following some aides prescribed by ADD literature.

You can be sure, I will forward this to my friends who “are like me”.

Thank you for unlocking some key difference explaining who and what I am.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts Patty.

There were many times during the research process that I gained a lot of clarity about myself and felt like many of the ways I thought I was “wrong” were in fact just the way my brain is wired. And the more I understood about left and right brain- visual- thinking – I even started to like myself more. And I found out there are many ways we think – that have been discounted – but do in fact bring tremendous value to situations or learning.

As a person that can get distracted – I also felt better knowing it was part of being visual – and the ways I have learned to focus myself – are on target and do help me be more efficient and productive.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and encouraging others to reconsider the way they see themselves.

      Bette
