The best way to keep the summer brain drain at bay is to continue reading everyday throughout the summer. Just 20-30 minutes per day of any kind of reading is going to keep them fluent while exposing them to new ideas and ways of reading. Keep them reading with library reading programs that include games and incentives. Listen to audio books. Set out a variety of material from poems to magazines and books that cover a variety of genres in fiction and nonfiction categories. The key here is to give your child a choice and the time to do it. Read anything and everything.
I have an eBook for you with lots more good ideas for keeping the brain drain at bay this summer. Download it today and keep the Brain Drain plugged this summer.
